So I’ve been thinking; What’s my speciality? What am I good at, and what do I just love doing the most? Of course there’s the obvious; computers. Or at least, till a certain level. I mean, I can’t program shit now. Besides a little bit Python ( [import skills] ftw), and basic HTML and CSS knowledge, I kinda can’t program yet. And my school isn’t doing jack shit about that right now.
Oh, this reminds me; xkcd. I should’ve posted this a while ago. I LOVE this comic. I’m not much of a comic reader, but this just has all my favorite elements, without turning too geeky, or overdoing the inside jokes.

Back to where I was. I like writing, I like trying to be creative (emphasis on trying), and just messing around with computer stuff. Something my new internship has made me realize, is that I like presenting. I was giving a workshop together with 3 others, to 10 hungarian transfer students who where staying in my country for a few months. This was actually pretty fun, and I got to show off my English language “Skillz”.

Some of my friends where showing me their (business) cards a while ago. You know, the scene from American Psycho? Yeah, like that. Thing is, I can’t imagine ever having one of my own. Do writers even have business cards? Do programmers have them? I can’t imagine. Maybe it’s a necessary evil. Like big impressive cars.

Then again, I’m still young. Right now I’m really good at Trolling. They say there’s some things you shouldn’t get too good at, (a quote U2 shamelessly stole from Nietzsche) but I can’t imagine this being one of those things. I always think about the theory of evolution when I think about my place in the world. Of course, this can barely be called applicable in the world today. But if it was, then it’s always about picking a speciality. Those are the successful species; the ones who adapt to an unoccupied (or, not enough occupied) speciality. I fear knowing “A thing or two” about computers is barely enough. I have got to dive in deeper.

Anyway, to most geeks, it should be clear. I bought Wrath of the Lich King. I was quite lucky, I must add. I didn’t even image that the town I lived in had such a special midnight opening. It did however, for one hour. And I was there 5 minutes on time, just before they where closing up.
