Love and Rock, Peace!

Wow, I actually have things to blog about. Although, I AM typing this from my iPhone, so it could just be… Short.

I have found myself digging in blogs at this hour. Blogs of people who I no longer am in touch with but, contrary to what anyone thinks, still matter to me. I don’t expect the same thing from them though; especially after reading back on one of them, I think she couldn’t care less. Still, I embrace this strange feeling of nostalgia. Maybe even melancholy. Who knows, maybe there is an off-chance that I will hear from her. That’s not to be expected, but it’d be a nice thing.

Ok, less mumbling, more. Blogging! I can’t wait to read this back on my regular computer ( which doesn’t have internet at this moment. Sucky KPN is sucky. ) and notice the spelling errors I made.
So I was trying to say. There is a chance that I will be moving in a while! Bigger apartement, finally some sun, and sharing kitchen and the likes with some one else. But like I said, chance. Not certain, but it does seem to be something worthwhile that I will be going for.

P.S. You all saw the post below here, yes, no? It’s a new blog idea I’m tinkering around with, but it’s all new to me so yeah :P
But please read it and give me some feedback! I know the post itself is far from complete ( from a technical standpoint o_0 ), but you get the idea.
HOKAI. SO. BRB SLEEP KTHNXBAI.

Stuff from… 1 year ago!

Well darn! 1 year anniversary! whooo! My god. I actually did not delete this site in the past year. Granted, I barely update at times, but still.
Things that haven’t changed: my laziness. I still have a few ideas for the site, like splitting up a tech part of some kind. But is that ever going to happen? Hey, I dunno. Who knows.

I think I left my brain in your underpants

Title may or may not make sense. You decide.

Anyway, I’m reading and listening to music. HOLY SHIT. Did I just say reading? Why yes I did. It’s been ages since I’ve read a decent book (I do have a few lying, which I just never read past page 40. “The Portrait of Dorian Gray” and “The God delusion” are among them. I just agree with Dawkins that much, that it’s just not interesting anymore… but I digress). But now I am reading! A novel, so I guess it’s easy sailing like that. “When Nietzsche Wept”, is the name of the book. For some reason I bought the Dutch version. It actually is pretty decently translated, but did they just have to change the name to “Nietzsche’s Tears” ? Oh well.

Also music. I am listening to the new Franz Ferdinand album… Not bad, it seems. Two discs. Love it when bands do that. Except when they suck. Which these guys do not. Also downing the latest Keane Album off a bay of pirates. I was almost gonna get it through iTunes (like I do with Coldplay and Stereophonics music), except well… Not sure it’s worth it. I mean, CD’s are STILL better quality, lossless and all. The next step in legal digital music distribution should be lossless encoded songs, if you ask me. I mean, I don’t really like downloading something which I paid for, which is not in the highest quality, while somewhere else on the web a lossless FLAC, Apple lossless, or even ISO files exist.

Aside from this stuff. I wrote about how I quit school a week ago or so, right? Well, funny thing is, I seem to be getting out more then when I was in school. Being social, meeting up with old and new friends… Good times.

Furthermore, I still am kinda Apple addicted. And maybe a bit fonboy-ish. Maybe it’s just me, though. A week ago wen I went out with some buddies, another Macfag (as we like to call them) appeared. For some reason people liked this guy. As for me, I thought he was just a slimeball. He sold out, that kind of slimeball. He was all like “Well, windows is a great operating system. If I where a gamer, I would totally use it. Feature wise, it sure can compete with Mac OSX.”
No. Just, no. Windows isn’t a “Great operating system”. And for some reason, my friends took the bait. ‘Yay, this macfag is bashing himself for us!’, which is kinda weird. Because windows sucks. Lot’s of people, all over the earth, KNOW how hard windows sucks balls. They haven’t ever touched Linux or OSX or the likes. And still they just KNOW that ANYTHING else will be better. But no, this macfag says windows is “A great operating system”. Here’s something. Get the fuck out.
/rage

But yeah, back to my affectionate. I STILL need a radeon 9600-9800 for my G4 project (it already has 2 gigs of ram… Yum!).
On my main mac (my aluminum 2.4ghz 20″ one), I want to try the new Snow Leopard. I mean, I heard it increases performance like a motherfucker. I already am making a time machine backup as we speak. I put the install disk on a portable HDD. One thing: I lost my Leopard install disk. This might not matter, as Snow kitty may just support old time machine backups. But better safe then sorry, right?

Also, they should fucking (you heard me) put RFID chips on CD’s. And GPS chips.

More stuff of the now

Ok! You should all see the shiny subscribe button in the sidebar now. Unless you already subscribed (wtf are you doing?).

Had a weird few weeks. A friend from another country came to visit me for 2 weeks. Kinda weird, since I am not quite used to having people over for that long. But it’s been fun! I mean, sure, we played a lot of wow. But we also did some sightseeing, meeting people we know through WoW and other interwebs. It’s weird not knowing things about your country that tourists DO know. Like salt herring with onions.
Internet meet-ups still have that weird vibe for me though, you don’t really know what to expect or what to anticipate. But whatever, it’s a good change of pace.

Other than that, I have been spending some time watching “Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann” (or just Gurren-Lagann). I can see why it’s such a good show, but the ending kinda disappointed me. Call me weird, but I kinda like at least SOME happy in my ending. Not that this is depressing or such, but… You get my point. And if you do not, go watch the show. An excellent excuse, I would say.

Maybe more stuff later!
